Better Health with Joy is a completely holistic 3-month or 6-month program.
During that time, I become your ally, health mentor and spiritual energizer.
We begin with a complimentary assessment of your present health history. (You’ll find that right from this beginning step you’ll start to feel better, because you are being heard and understood at a level that is extremely rare in today’s healthcare system).
Next we develop a step-by-step approach that is customized to your age, health, life situation, family, environment, work life and spiritual needs. You will have easy start-up recipes and activities.
We will always avoid the “diet mentality” and focus instead on your overall well-being.
Rather than a big list of foods to cut out, you’ll have a long list of foods to add, including foods you love.
You’ll learn why cravings are not a problem but rather a key to understanding what your body needs and when to give in to them.
Together we address other essential forms of nourishment like play, touch, romance, intimacy, love, achievement, success, art, music, self-expression, leadership, excitement, adventure and spirituality.
As a minister and holistic psychotherapist, I enjoy helping you develop an optimal balance of these other nourishing essentials too. Because the extent to which you are able to incorporate them now determines how enjoyable and worthwhile your life will feel in the future.
Once our initial discovery process and plan have been completed, we continue to meet twice a month in person or by phone to check in, exchange new information and accurately monitor your progress.
At the end of the initial 3- or 6-month Program, we will assess the kinds of changes you have noticed and decide what your next steps might be. These could include continuing on in 3-month segments, or pay-as-you-go phone consultations, or participating in group events.
